Insurance
Understanding insurance coverage and benefits can become very difficult and frustrating. Confusion may arise when determining co-payments, deductibles and which procedures are covered. This can often lead to non-covered procedures being performed and more out-of-pocket expenses for the patient.
Our Solution
You first step is to contact the member services department with your insurance carrier to determine benefits and coverage. The member services number will be located on your insurance card. The representatives should be able to assist you with any questions or concerns. If you still have uncertainties, please contact our office as we can guide you through the confusion. It is our goal to not only provide you with the best eyecare, but to help you understand what your insurance benefits are, especially before a procedure is performed.
How can you help?
Please bring your insurance card to each visit so we can verify that our records are up to date. Inform our staff of any changes with your insurance plan; this includes, change of claims address & identification and/or group numbers. Obtain any referrals and/or prior authorizations that may be required prior to your visit. Doing these steps will allow our office to accurately process your claim and receive payment in an efficient manner.
